Webinar: Rising to the Challenge: Understanding the FCC’s Broadband Map Challenge Process
When the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) released the long-awaited first draft of its new National Broadband Map on November 18, 2022, it also initiated a public challenge process to improve the accuracy of the broadband availability data contained in that map.
Recent reports indicate that the FCC’s new National Broadband Map provides more granular data than prior maps. Still, apparent inaccuracies and omissions throughout the first draft will require correction in the days ahead.
It is critical, therefore, for broadband providers and other interested parties to have a clear understanding of the FCC’s challenge process – especially given that the new National Broadband Map will be used to allocate over $42 billion in Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) funds to states and territories to expand access to affordable, high-speed internet.
To provide interested parties with the information they will need to succeed in the FCC’s ongoing broadband availability challenge process, JSI will host a live webinar and interactive panel discussion on this topic, entitled “Rising to the Challenge: Understanding the FCC’s Broadband Map Challenge Process,” on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm (EST).
During our webinar program, the JSI team will:
- Guide attendees through each step of the challenge process, explaining how to file compelling challenges and responses; and
- Provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the relevant strategies providers can employ and the timeframes involved in this challenge process.
