Supreme Court Rules in Favor of the FCC in Federal Universal Service Contributions Case

The U.S. Supreme Court today released its decision in FCC v. Consumers’ Research in Docket No. 24-354, reversing the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and upholding the constitutionality of the Universal Service Fund’s contribution mechanism. The Court found that Universal Service Fund Contribution Mechanism does not violate the Non-Delegation Doctrine.
