FCC Announces the Maximum Partial Reimbursement Amounts for May 2024 ACP Benefits
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has officially announced the maximum partial reimbursement amounts for Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) households in May 2024.
USAC has clarified that both providers who did or did not submit a response to the opt-in March survey can participate in the partial reimbursement for May.
Below is the breakdown of the maximum partial reimbursement amounts for each benefit type for May 2024:
- Non-Tribal Service Benefit: $14
- Tribal Lands Service Benefit: $35
- ACP Connected Device Benefit: $47
Additionally, it is vital for providers offering ACP-supported services and devices in May to adhere fully to the ACP rules. This includes providing service to ACP households under the same terms as non-ACP households. Providers may only claim partial reimbursement for those households to which they provided service at the time of the June 1 snapshot date.
While these are the maximum partial reimbursement amounts, providers can offer a discount larger than the announced maximum to alleviate the impact of the change in benefit. Furthermore, providers can offer low-cost internet service plans, existing or newly adopted, to mitigate financial burdens.
