More community based providers are exploring and implementing video and cable services in order to offer their customers triple play bundles. Rolling out video services brings with it a whole new set of federal and state/local rules that must be complied with, many of them on an annual basis. JSI has expanded its services in recent years to meet these new demands of its clients who need to negotiate the maze of video/cable-related regulations, record keeping and filings.
We’ve developed a video compliance manual to spell out the applicable FCC rules, copyright statements and rules for LECs providing video services, as well as to explain the role of franchise authorities. In addition, JSI can develop and present webinars and on-site training sessions customized for your company’s individual needs.
As well, our staff can assist you in meeting the necessary notice, reporting, recordkeeping and technical requirements for video/cable providers. Copyright statements and payments must be filed annually based on the number of video customers. JSI can not only help you file these documents, but we can help you determine the best ways to set up your service tiers in order to reduce the amount of fees paid each year.
Video providers must negotiate agreements with the state/local franchise authorities, and JSI can aid in these negotiations. We also assist in negotiating favorable retransmission agreements with broadcasters.
