FCC and State Requirements

The FCC and state regulatory commission rules affecting independent ILECs and their affiliated companies have expanded significantly in the wake of legislative, regulatory, and technological developments over the last several years. In response, JSI has assembled a comprehensive array of regulatory services to offer clients a variety of solutions, including: assessment of rules and regulations and evaluation of their specific impact on individual company operations; design of compliance procedures and documents; and, if necessary, assistance with the filing of waiver petitions. JSI's experienced regulatory team can facilitate clients' understanding of and compliance with the broad brush of regulatory requirements affecting their operations.

JSI offers clients a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements for ILECs and CLECs alike, broadband service providers, long-distance and wireless carriers, and video/cable TV operators. In addition to developing company-specific compliance plans and answering specific client questions about complying with federal and state rules, JSI can assist in preparing subscriber notices, waiver requests, and other compliance-related documentation. And JSI's regulatory staff regularly issues online broadcast notices, "e-lerts," that call attention to, and offer our analysis of, new rules and requirements and how they will affect clients and/or their affiliates.

JSI can assist independent telecom providers in preparing and filing regulatory reports, including:
