Welcome to the JSI website. We try to make sure that our online home accurately reflects the breadth of products and services we offer. It's also our intent to describe the state of the industry affecting our clients and other independent providers. Currently, that means the rush to broadband and the FCC's plans for universal service and rural America's continued access to the network and the advanced telecom services it delivers. Along the way, the community based companies and cooperatives on which rural citizens depend for connection - as well as for the economic development that connection supports - face unprecedented challenges to complete the arduous journey from the world-class PSTN to a broadband-promoting IP-network. We see no indication that the trip will get any easier in the coming months.
On another front, JSI is about to mark a half-century of partnership with America's independent telecom industry. Throughout those 50 years, JSI has placed great store on maintaining a tradition of service excellence and crafting a strategic vision to enable clients to meet their operational needs and prepare for whatever challenges that arise.
We hope the information, applications, and resources you find here help you better understand our history - and that of the clients with whom we partner. With a dedicated team of almost 100 staff professionals, JSI offers the insight and expertise of seasoned industry veterans who can help management and boards of directors succeed in the broadband transition, from the network and technology changes ... to the regulatory and policy challenges ... to the business and operational disruptions ... to the unfamiliar cultural and competitive priorities of the twenty-first century marketplace. If what you find here on our website leaves you with questions or comments, please e-mail or call any of our staff.
