JSI has scheduled two webinars,on Wednesday, Nov. 3, and on Wednesday Jan. 19, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (EST), to review the new one-business-day, simple port requirements and the standardized simple port local service request fields. The webinar details are discussed below.
New Simple Port Obligations for ALL Carriers
The FCC's new LNP rules require one-business-day, simple ports between all providers, including wireline and wireless carriers as well as VoIP numbering partners. During the webinar, JSI staff will review the new porting requirements and issues regarding mandated business hours, order cut-off intervals, and translation removal.
Standardized Simple Port Local Service Request Fields
The FCC modified the four port validation fields to consist of only three fields and mandated specific administrative fields which are required for simple port requests. Accordingly, service providers must modify their local service request forms to comply with the new requirements. JSI's webinar will cover the current FCC-mandated simple port validation process, the new local service request administrative fields, the circumstances in which the new fields must be used, and additional issues. The required field changes will affect providers both porting now and implementing porting for the first time.
The cost of the webinar is $249 for the first five connections from a registering company (additional connections are $50 each). For more information and to register, please click on the webinar date you'd like to attend:
